Studio Philosophy
The Parisian Pixel: A Studio's Manifesto
We build websites that feel like a conversation, not a brochure. Every element is placed with intention—every pixel a decision, every line of code a quiet assertion of clarity.
Our process begins with a single question: "What story does this brand need to tell?" This question is our compass. It leads us away from bloated templates and toward bespoke, lightweight architectures built for longevity. We are based in Paris, but our clients are global; our work speaks a universal language of intention.
The trade-off is deliberate. We sacrifice the speed of deployment for the integrity of the final product. A hand-coded site, built with semantic HTML and accessible CSS, is a document meant to last years, not months. Our "no-code" promise is a myth. We code everything by hand, because perfect control is the only path to genuine craft.
"The first draft is always analog. It forces us to think without the constraint of the screen, and the noise of the menu bar." — Our studio ritual
Our Method
From Brief to Launch: The Vislixo Method
Discovery & Narrative Mapping
We audit your existing assets, conduct stakeholder interviews, and define the core user journey. The output is a single-page narrative brief that becomes our north star.
Pitfall Avoided
We never start visual design without a signed-off content strategy. This prevents costly revisions in the final phase.
Visual Prototyping
We build interactive wireframes directly in the browser. This tests flow and function, not just aesthetics, long before a single pixel is finalized.
Annotation
Our prototypes use the client's actual content. If the text doesn't fit, we fix the layout—not the other way around.
Craft & Code
We hand-code the final site, focusing on semantic HTML, accessible CSS, and clean JavaScript. Every launch includes a "Launch Kit" with SEO basics and performance metrics.
Hand-off
We provide a live training session, not a PDF. Your team learns to manage content updates with confidence.
Signature Module
The Process Lens: A Single Decision
We removed the "Delete" button from the main list view. In its place, we implemented a swipe-to-delete gesture.
The Trade-off
A visible button feels safe and explicit. A hidden gesture is efficient but discoverable only after education. The client's CMS, however, could not render dynamic buttons in the list view without severe performance degradation.
The Constraint
The client's legacy CMS generated each list item with a separate HTTP request. A "Delete" button per item would have multiplied requests by 30x, breaking the page on slower connections.
We optimized for the power user. The gesture is faster, reduces visual clutter, and respects the technical limits of the platform. The decision was documented in our internal "Trade-off Log" for future reference.
This is the type of detail that separates a functional site from a crafted one. It’s the conversation we have in the whitespace.
Evidence of Craft
Signature Projects: Problem, Solution, Outcome
Atelier Lumière
Parisian Artisan Ceramics
Challenge
Translate tactile, handmade quality into a digital storefront.
Solution
Macro photography with 100% zoom, subtle micro-interactions mimicking touch.
Result
40% increase in workshop bookings via the site.
"Vislixo didn't just build a site; they built a digital extension of our brand."
Vox Collective
Music Producer Portfolio
Challenge
Showcase a vast, diverse audio library without overwhelming the user.
Solution
A custom audio player with intelligent, mood-based filtering.
Result
3-minute average session duration; 25% of visitors use the filter.
Micro-Scenario
A film director lands on the site. Without knowing it, they 'feel' the right track. The interface guides them without a single dropdown menu.
Le Marché Vert
Organic Food Delivery
Challenge
Simplify a complex subscription model with multiple variables.
Solution
A step-by-step configurator with visual, icon-based cues instead of text-heavy options.
Result
15% reduction in cart abandonment; 20% faster checkout time.
Figure Note
Each project image includes a 'behind-the-scenes' sketch overlay showing the initial wireframe, a reminder that every pixel starts as an idea on paper.
Our Commitment
The Vislixo Standard: Non-Negotiables
Performance
Every site must achieve a Lighthouse score of 95+ on performance and accessibility before launch. We audit third-party scripts relentlessly; if it slows the page, it's gone.
Accessibility
We follow WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines as a baseline, not an afterthought. Contrast ratios are tested, and interactive elements are keyboard-navigable by default.
Ethics
We do not work with clients in industries that cause demonstrable harm (e.g., fossil fuels, predatory lending). Our work must align with our values.
Transparency
All code is yours upon launch. No proprietary lock-in, no hidden subscriptions. We provide full access to the repository and all assets.
Longevity
We build with standard, future-proof technologies: semantic HTML, modern CSS, vanilla JavaScript. No experimental frameworks that will be deprecated in a year.
Glossary: Semantic HTML
Code that describes its own content (e.g., nav, article). Crucial for SEO, screen readers, and future maintainability.
Studio Rhythm
A Studio in Motion: Our Parisian Rhythm
The Loft
Our workspace is a converted loft in the 11th arrondissement. Natural light floods the space, where analog tools—pencils, tracing paper, and physical color swatches—share desk space with high-resolution screens.
The Ritual
Every Friday, we hold a "Show & Tell." The team critiques work-in-progress, fostering a culture of radical, constructive feedback. No ego, only the craft.
The Flow
We believe in deep work blocks: no meetings before noon. This allows for uninterrupted creative flow, essential for complex problem-solving.
"We source our coffee from a local roaster. It's a small detail, but it's part of our commitment to local craft and the daily ritual of making something meaningful."
Your Project, Our Craft
We have a limited capacity for new collaborations each quarter to ensure every project receives our full attention. If you're looking for a partner to build a thoughtful, high-performance digital experience, we should talk.
